Untraceable

I’ve come to the point that when it comes to a movie that tries to use technology as its main theme especially the internet, I find that the movie becomes cheap and very unbelievable. But this is not the case when it comes to the movie Untraceable.
Although you can’t escape the feeling that this movie will remind you of both SAW and one of hit CSI TV Series, you can’t help but wonder, “Would this actually be possible?”
It actually sticks in the back of your mind the whole time you watch the movie. If you have experience on the internet, then you know first hand of the things people can do and put up on the internet these days, and I think that is what makes this movie so good.
FBI agent Jennifer Marsh is tasked with hunting down a seemingly untraceable serial killer who posts live videos of his victims on the Internet. As time runs out, the cat and mouse chase becomes more personal.
Can you imaging that if you were somehow tied up and had some contraption hooked up to you and all the while you were being caught on a web cam and the more people that logged into a site that was streaming the video the faster this contraption would kill you? Not only that, but the fact that people will watch anything on the internet theses days, so you know deep down that you’re seriously fucked!
Well, that’s what happened to the victims in this movie. If the FBI don’t find out where these hostages are being held, they are doomed.
Diane Lane, Billy Burke, Colin Hanks play the FBI Agents that try and catch the serial killer and end up having their personal lives tangles up in the whole mess. This may seem a little off topic, but I can’t believe how much Colin Hanks looks exactly like his Dad Tom Hanks in this movie.
This was a very good movie and I actually enjoyed it. So if you get a chance, you should check out this title when you have the chance. If you like the whole cybercrime theme in a movie, then this will be something you’ll enjoy.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’m definitely into cybercrime movies and anything tech-related. But I’m not sure my wife will go for it.
