Number 23

You know what? Jim Carrey is a better when he plays a serious character than he is when he tries to be funny.

His latest mystery/thriller ‘Number 23‘ is a pretty damn good movie. I really liked it a lot.

Carrey becomes obsessed with a novel that he believes was written about him. As his obsession increases, more and more similarities seem to arise.

Could you just imagine how paranoid you could get if everything about you and everything around you seemed to sum up to the number 23 in some way? After watching this movie I was seeing if anything around me summed up to or related to the number 23, I bet you will too after watching it.

While watching the movie I was completely submersed into it. It held my attention every single second of the entire movie. The story line was well written as far as I’m concerned, and is probably why it was so darn good. Jim Carrey does an excellent job and plays his character awesomely, so well it was almost creepy.

It was directed very well too. If you watch closely, you’ll see a lot of things that are out in the open, and if you’re paying attention you’ll see the Number 23 all over the place, even when it’s not being targeted as a thing to pay attention to.

The whole mystery kept you guessing who was the author of the book, which is the whole purpose pretty much of the movie. When it came time to show the ending, you are taken for some major twists. I have to say, “I didn’t see that ending coming!”

The following clip is where he really starts to loose it with the whole number 23 thing.

I highly recommend seeing this one folks. If you’re not a Jim Carrey fan it won’t matter because he doesn’t come off as an idiot like he usually does. This is a very good movie and it should be on your next thing to watch list.
