No Country For Old Men - Review

No Country For Old Men

A shot gun with a silencer? Yup, that was the first thing that popped into my mind to.

No Country For Old Men is a slow moving movie and takes a long time to get to the point. But let that not detour you because the storyline is pretty intense, if that actually makes any sence. It can get unconventional but in a strange sort of way that is what makes it worthwhile to watch.

Violence and mayhem ensue after a hunter stumbles upon some dead bodies, a stash of heroin and more than $2 million in cash near the Rio Grande.

The movie could have been a lot shorter if there wasn’t so much silent and lengthy scenes that were just some guy walking around looking for another guy to kill. So that’s pretty much the only beef I have with the film.

The action does open your eyes up when it gets going. A lot of gruesome killing as these guys really don’t have any regard to life and (Javier Bardem) Anton Chigurh has no problem vaporizing people who get in his way with either his Shotgun with silencer, or high pressure air valve. You’ll see what I mean when you see this movie.

I recommend waiting for the DVD to come out so you can kill some time with a rental. At least that way you can get a lot more comfortable sitting on a nice comfy couch than a awkward and crowded theater seat.

This one is good for the Drama/Thriller audience, but if you’re looking for something that is full of fast paced action, you might not enjoy this one as much, as the action is kinda slow to get going.

It’s not all that bad of a movie, but it wasn’t the best one either.
