Destroy All Humans 2: Make War Not Love

Crypto is back with the Furons to take over in all parts of the world.

Even though this isn’t one of the newest games that are out there, I still can’t get enough of Crypto and Ortho’s dry sence of humor in Destroy All Humans 2: Make Love Not War.

After playing and finishing the first installment of this game, I was eager to get my hands on the second part of the game because I just knew the entertainment value would be there, and the wise cracks and banter between teh two aliens would be just as good if not better than the first one. I was right!

Now I am not the type of person that is into the whole 2 player split screen thing, just because it’s so damn restrictive trying to watch it on just one television, so I can’t comment on the two player game play on teh game. But in my opinion, this game is meant to be played as a one player game.

The controls are just as easy to operate as the first part of the story, and there is no button mashing involved either. Well except when you’re trying to take over a human body, or get the humans to dance that groovy dance when you want them to take their attention off of you. OH and we can’t forget about the anal probing to get their brains to pop out of …. well you know where that’s going.

The banter between the two aliens is really funny. You need to keep a clear mind to get their dry sence of humor, and Crypto’s sexual comments to the bombshell Russian spy.

The following is a promo trailer for the game, so keep in mind the game was released in 2006, so when you see the part that says, “This Fall” it doesn’t actually mean this fall, it was last fall, err the fall before, or was it the fall of humans? I dunno’, but it’s been out for awhile anyway.

As far as game replay goes, YES it has definitely got replay value written all over it! I just rented it and after playing it for 3 days, I did complete the game, but after the credits finished rolling, there was a lot more to do. There are several side missions for you to complete, and unfortunately, it was time to bring the game back so I didn’t get a chance to complete all the side and bonus missions.

The environment is completely intractable. You can blow up the building, vehicles, and Humans around you. Who can resist vaporizing a human or two or three, or a few hundred?

I have to admit that I love the sound track also. It has that 60’s style music and gives that Austin Powers sound to the game also.

This is a game that is better than a rental, this is a must own game! I’ll probably pick it up at the video store when it reaches the reduced bin like a lot of their games do.

So if you are looking for a game with some really good replay value, that is funny, and has a fun storyline, then Destroy All Humans 2: Make Love Not War should be on your list of games to get.
