Death Note

Death NoteIf you are like me, then you too probably enjoy some of the Horror movies that come out of Asia. Either it be China’s or Japan’s, they both usually put on a very creepy but entertaining flick.

There is one that caught my eye and I would really like to see and it is called DeathNote. You can watch the Exclusive Trailer to see a bit of it and know what you can expect. If that is not enough for you, you can go to this DeathNote site and read up on what it’s all about. To shortly sum it up, it’s a supernatural action-mystery manga and follows a story of an ace student who finds the Death Note, a notebook dropped by a death god. Any human whose name is written in the notebook ends up dead.

There is a two night only showing in select theaters in May on the 20th and 21st. Unfortunately, it is not showing around my area, so I will have to get the DVD when it becomes available. It probably wont be long before Hollywood does a remake of it for those who don’t like subtitles or dubbed audio. But that’s just my personal prediction.

I thought it would be nice for a change to give a heads up on a title that I enjoy but isn’t a huge box office hit. A foreign film can be just as good as the rest of them and I bet this one will creep the heck out of me when I get a chance to watch it.

I’ll do a full review of it when I do watch it. I’m pretty sure it will be a good review too. These type of movies draw me in like a moth to a flame.
