I have several Movie and PS3 video’s reviews to do, but unfortunately, my Phillips 170s monitor went on the fritz and I’m being forced to use my old Dell (POS) CRT monitor that is almost unusable also because the color and brightness are shot to hell.
I’ll be sending my Monitor in for repair since it’s still under warranty today, so it all depends on how long it will take to get back to me before I can complete a few more reviews.
I don’t/can’t really do a whole lot with this dark monitor as far as graphic and video editing go. It’s only good enough to read e-mail and web blogs unfortunately.
So I’m thinking one or two weeks before things start up again.

If you like the TV show ‘The Office‘ then I believe that you will enjoy the movie 305 which is a spoof of the hit movie 300.
First thing I want to point out is that you’ll need to watch this tongue in cheek because this is clearly a low budget ‘B’ movie. It’s obviously a movie that was shot entirely in front of a green screen. The acting is terrible, but in a way that it fits in perfectly.
Based on the online smash hit, ‘305′ is a mockumentary detailing the misadventures of five not-so-brave members of the Spartan army charged with guarding a seemingly ordinary goat path. But when their actions lead to the death of King Leonidas and his army of 300 men, the five must find a way to redeem themselves and save Sparta from invasion.
It has its ups and downs and gets a bit boring about half way through. The start is probably the most humorous part of the entire movie. But if you can handle it long enough, you’ll start to get a few more chuckles near the end again.
Now I don’t want to totally trash it because, after all, this is mockumentary and is supposed to be stupid in a comedic sort of way. It is actually a funny movie when you catch on to some of the under the breath comments the characters make. Like the part in the spoiler clip where the guy said he was sucker punched, and the other guy replies, “Yea, you got sucker punched alright, over and over again.”
Like I said, you need to watch this movie with tongue in cheek and take it as it is. If the characters from The Office decided to make a spoof of the Movie 300, then this would be it. It’s funny no matter how you look at it. The dry comedy is about as dry as a popcorn fart, but you can’t help but laugh at it anyway.
This is one of those movies you might want to add to your video collection of dumb comedy.
Aside from movie reviews and web site reviews, I will also review products that I deem something worth a good review.
Seeing as I already own a Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner and I really like the job that it does as far as sucking up all the stuff that accumulates on my wall to wall carpeting, such as cat hair mainly and whatever dirt I track in from outdoors when I come home.
The one I have is conveniently compact with a telescopic handle that slides away for easy storage. This is important to me because I live in a small apartment. Unfortunately I don’t like the long power cord that is long enough to wrap around my building at least (exaggeration) 2 times. This would be OK for those who have large houses I suppose, but not for me.
Fortunately for me there is a new vacuum by Dirt Devil called the Accucharge that just so happens to be the first approved vacuum that is Energy Star approved! It also has a feature that I like a lot and that is the fact that it is cordless! No more of this power cord tether for me thank you!
The vacuum’s technology enables a 70% reduction in energy which is always good for the enviroment in my opinion, and charges twice as fast. The AccuCharge also vacuums on both hard and carpeted surfaces, which is good for me because if you have indoor cats, they eat like slobs and get dry cat food all over the kitchen floor.
If you’re looking for a good vacuum that doesn’t have a cord, and want a good name brand that seems to produce some really good vacuums, then the Dirt Devil AccuCharge which is Energy Star approved, should be the next purchase for you.
I’m going to be getting one, and hopefully I’ll have a complete follow up review of it for you. But I’m pretty sure it will prove itself.
OK, first thing’s first. Before watching this movie, throw all your logic out the window. If you try to sit there and ask to many questions, you’re going to ruin it for yourself. I’m pretty sure everybody that sees this movie will probably think, “Why don’t they just burn the vines?” Then there wouldn’t be a movie then would there?
The Ruins is one of them movies that really doesn’t go into a crap load of special effects. It really didn’t need to in my opinion. Mind you there were a few parts that had me squeamish. I don’t know about you, but any movie that can make you feel this way even though you know it’s not real is doing a good job.
As far a Horror/Thrillers go, I can’t say this was the best, but it wasn’t all that bad either.
A group of friends whose leisurely Mexican holiday takes a turn for the worse when they, along with a fellow tourist embark on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle, where something evil lives among the ruins.
You’re quickly introduced to the cast, which was nice because it didn’t drag on and on. Once you get to know the characters, you’re taken directly to the action. The action isn’t intense, but it is just enough to keep your attention.
At first you’ll be thinking, “WTF Is going on?” but you’ll quickly catch on.
If you enjoy a somewhat ‘B’ type Horror/Thriller movie, then, you may just enjoy this movie also. It’s a good filler for when there is nothing else to watch on TV, and will give you a bit of an entertainment fix too.

The definition of Victory Hair is really simple to say the least. How one gets victory hair is based on just how well they are at flirting with the opposite sex. So when that person is successful in the flirting part and they go to their place together and let nature take it’s course, when they are finished doing woopie, they’ll end up with victory hair.

My fancy pick up line is top secret so I really can’t let you in on that one. It’s not a cheesy one, but a clever one and the chicks always give a good response to it. Sorry, but if I told you, then there would be to many people using it.
If you haven’t played the game, you really should. It’s actually very entertaining. You also get to play the game with other people on the internet. Chatting and flirting with the opposite sex (Or same sex, whatever your preference) is always fun in my opinion. The questions you can ask or get asked by your participants are fun.
Although this game is an advertising type game, it still has potential for a lot of fun, so encourage all your friends to play along, it’s something that I’m sure every single person out there would enjoy playing.
I’m usually a fan of Owen Wilson’s work, but I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed when I finished with the movie, Drillbit Taylor. This may be because it’s really not my kind of movie, but it did what it was meant to do in the end and that was to kill some time in between re-runs on the TV.

Now it wasn’t all entirely bad. It had its moments and it got a couple of laughs from me, although at times it seemed like they were getting desperate for the laughs with really bad and cheap comedy tactics.
This is best for a DVD rental to kill some time or to keeps the kids quiet while you go do something off in another room. It’s mildly entertaining at most.
In my opinion, Owen Wilson shouldn’t attempt doing comedy solo. He needs to remain the sidekick as far as I’m concerned. He’s just a lot funnier when he is teamed up with somebody like Vince Vaughn or Ben Stiller.
To sum this little review up, I’ll just say this movie is alright, but it all depends on who it’s supposed to be entertaining. The kids may like this a lot more than the grown ups.
